I visited Abaco, Bahamas in January of 2019 just 8 months later in Sept Hurricane Dorian passed directly over Marsh Harbor, Abaco with 185mph winds and completely destroyed most of the island. Eight Mile Bay is at the intersection of central and south Abaco on the Eastern side of the island. It was a quiet area with a few homes and plenty of shallow white sand beaches and sand bars.
