Canvas - Black-Capped Chickadee (Poecile Atricapillus)

from $40.00
The Black Capped Chickadee is a small, non-migratory, North American songbird that lives in deciduous and mixed forests. They mate for life and are cavity nesters excavating their own nest sites in rotten or decaying wood, using old woodpecker holes or using a nesting box. Although Chickadees are regular visitors to feeders, over 75 to 80 percent of their winter food supply still comes from natural sources including the food that they hide with the ability to remember thousands of hiding places.
