Canvas - Plumeria
from $40.00
Plumeria, most commonly known as Frangipani or Temple Tree, is a genus of deciduous shrubs or small trees native to the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas, including Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Belonging to the dogbane family (Apocynaceae), these plants are instantly recognizable by their thick, fleshy branches and a milky white, slightly toxic sap. Their real showstopper, however, is the five-petaled, waxy flower, which blooms in stunning clusters from spring to fall. Plumeria flowers are renowned for their intense, sweet fragrance, which is often strongest at night, and they come in a vibrant array of colors, from pure white with yellow centers to deep pink, red, and sunset blends. Although not native to the region, Plumeria has become culturally synonymous with the Pacific Islands, especially Hawaii, where its blooms are a key component in the traditional lei.
