Canvas - Delta Post Oak Leaf

from $40.00
There are approximately 500 species of Oak trees, 90 of which can be found in the US. With a density of 0.75 g/ccm its considered a hardwood and often used for furniture, hardwood flooring or cabinetry. The leaves and acorns contain tannic acid which the provide resistantancn to fungi, rot, fire, drought and insects. I found this leaf on a walk in the woods behind my house. This leaf has already started to decay but it has vibrant veins and a sharp contrast between the veins and leaf blade.
